I am Professor (MSO) at VIVE - The Danish Center for Social Science Reserch. My main research interest lies within the areas of social stratification and the sociology of education, with a main focus on the later educational transitions of young people. I am particularly interested in how socialization processes, child-rearing techniques and educational strategies in families with different cultural, social and economic resources shape educational opportunities. I use both quantitative and qualitative methods.

From 2023-28, I am a member of the Social Sciences Research Council of the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
